Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2013 Players Favorite Things Basket Auction, and special thanks to our fantastic Flyers Wives for gathering all of the great items, and to Jest Notes & Baskets of Lumberton, NJ for creating the beautiful baskets.

Baskets of favorite things from Flyers players, coaches and executives were available via online bidding, which ended April 26.  The following baskets will be available for bidding:  Danny Briere, Ilya Bryzgalov, Brayden Coburn, Sean Couturier, Ruslan Fedotenko, Simon Gagne, Bruno Gervais, Claude Giroux, Nicklas Grossmann, Scott Hartnell, Flyers GM Paul Holmgren, Flyers Head Coach Peter Laviolette, Andrej Meszaros, Matt Read, Zac Rinaldo, Brayden & Luke Schenn, Wayne Simmonds, Max Talbot, Kimmo Timonen, Jakub Voracek, and the women behind the bench (assistant coaches).  

Plans are under way for the 2013 Flyers Alumni Golf Invitational scheduled for Monday, July 8 at The Philadelphia Cricket Club!  This event will once again be one of the premiere golf events in the Greater Philadelphia Region. This year, we are pleased to announce an exciting addition to the event – the chance to draft your own team celebrity at the exclusive Golf Drafting Party at Xfinity Live! on Sunday, July 7, the evening before the outing.

Flyers Wives made a holiday visit to Shriners Hospital for Children to hand out homemade quilts, sewn from their “Quilts for Kids” initiative.  In a new partnership with Ronald McDonald Charities, Comcast-Spectacor Charities and Flyers Wives will be renovating the Teen Lounge within the hospital in upcoming months.
